Case of the Cold Weather Blues

Well, it is that time of year where I am completely over winter! With temps under 30 I am dreaming of sunny days and flip flops. Since I can't have either of those things, I will settle for fuzzy sweaters, leggings, and cozy blankets! This cold lazy day look has all of the above.

Sweater (Wearing XS)// Leggings// Blanket// Twinkle Lights here and here

Let me just mention, this is literally the SOFTEST sweater I have ever owned in my life. If I could I would just live in it. The best part is that Pacsun is having a BOGO sale right now so when you buy this sweater you can get another for 50% off. This sweater comes in this ivory color as well as a light pink which is so pretty. My leggings are also on sale at Aerie right now for just over 11$, can't beat that considering their leggings last a while. Most leggings I have bought begin to stretch and look see through. I have found these hold up well. I also linked some of my home items above for those interested (cozy throw blanket and twinkle lights). The blanket is a little pricey but I have seen similar ones at TJ Maxx or Marshalls as well that look almost identical. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to ask!

Snow Day Fashion

Hi everyone! All my east coast friends know that we got hit with a huge blizzard yesterday! Where I live they said we got about 18 inches and with the temps we have right now, it doesn't look like it will be melting anytime soon. Who says we cant be fashionable in this weather! This scarf is one of my absolute favorite's that I purchased last year from ASOS. The quality is fantastic and it keeps me nice and toasty when its freezing outside. Also, I just adore these white jeans. I find myself grabbing for them quite often because of the comfort and fit. I have a difficult time finding jeans that fit me well due to the fact that I am 5'1, but these fit perfect. Last, these boots are my go-to tall boots! They go with everything and I can wear them all day without my feet hurting.

I hope you are all staying warm and safe!

My "Holy Grail" Skin Care Products

Happy New Year! It's been a while but I decided that this year is going to be the year I get back into blogging.  2017 was a difficult and busy year for me so now it is time to get back into something I love doing, and that is sharing my love for fashion, nails, and beauty with you all! My first post of the year is my updated skin care routine, enjoy!

The past few weeks I have been trying a brand called Tatcha. Not only have their products been a godsend for my skin, but they are beautifully packaged. There is something about them that feels super luxurious and I actually look forward to my nightly skin care routine now. I have been using the Pure One step Camellia Cleansing Oil, Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder, and The Water Cream for about 3 weeks. Prior to starting this regimen I was having the worst breakouts of my life. I constantly had breakouts forming around my hair line/forehead and in other random spots on my face. Growing up I had fantastic skin so this bothered me terribly. I resorted to concealer and coverup which I never used to wear and I am sure made the issue worse. Fast forward to now, my skin is completely clear and hasn't looked this good in years. I will go into detail of each product below.

Full Size Product Links: Cleansing Oil Enzyme Powder, Water Cream

Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil- This is the first step in my nightly ritual, this product takes off all the makeup of the day without being over drying like other cleansers I have tried in the past. It is an oil based cleanser, however it doesn't have the heavy feel that is mostly associated with anything with the word oil in it. I start with 2-3 pumps of this product and massage it all over my face, including the eye area. I then wash it off with warm water before using the next product.

Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder- This is a really cool product, it is a powder that when mixed with water turns into a foamy texture. This is an extremely gentle exfoliator and can be used every day without fear of it drying out your skin. The beauty of this product is that there are a few different versions for every skin type. They recommend using about a half of teaspoon mixed with water and then massaging this product over your face avoiding the eye area.

The Water Cream- This is the final step in my regimen. I have been through many moisturizers and none of them have compared to this one. This is an extremely light moisturizer however it is very hydrating. I love the texture of this one and the cute little gold spoon it comes with. The little spoon helps scoop out just enough product as well as helps keep the product from getting bacteria from using your hands (even with clean hands I feel this is awesome for keeping bacteria from being spread). I do clean it after each use as well.

In just those 3 easy steps my skin has completely transformed. I was honestly really impressed with these products I had yet to figure out which products would work for my skin without making my breakouts worse. I started with travel sizes to see if they would be worth my investment, they have just about every product in travel size for those who wish to do the same. The products are a little on the pricey side but for good skin care it is worth it. My skin care is one thing I don't want to skimp out on.  It is important to note, these products work for my skin, but everyone's skin is different. The beauty of this brand is that they have products for every type of skin and their customer service is excellent. Just follow them on Instagram and you'll see they respond to everyone's comments and questions. This alone makes me want to try more from them!  You can pick up some of their products at Sephora or directly on Tatcha's website (Sephora by me didn't seem to have many options for travel size if you want to try products first).  Thanks for reading, I hope you will all stick with me through this new year!
