My Top 5 Spots in Asbury NJ

Happy Wednesday Friends! Today I thought I would do something a little different and talk about my top 5 favorite spots in Asbury NJ. Asbury is such a hot spot with so much to do! I am talking bars, restaurants, and little hole in the wall cafes and shops that make it such a fun place to go. Here are my top five favorite places in Asbury.

Hat // Top // Jeans //Shoes

Number 1: Moonstruck

I figured I would start by talking about my favorite restaurant in Asbury. Moonstruck is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The food is delicious and it has such a nice upscale and romantic atmosphere. Moonstruck is the perfect place to go on a romantic date or even to celebrate a special occasion. When hubby and I go, we usually start downstairs with a cocktail and a little appetizer while we wait. The Bruschetta Caponata is amazing, I highly recommend! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you get. Hubby and I have gone on multiple occasions and we have never left disappointed. If you have never gone, definitely add Moonstruck to your list!

Number 2: Biergarten

If you are looking for a low key but fun evening with friends, Biergarten is your place! Biergarten offers a large selection of beers and a nice food menu as well. I personally love going in the summer because you can go up on the rooftop and feel the warm Summer breeze.

Number 3: Watermark

If you're looking for a more upscale place to hang out for the night, Watermark is the spot. This lounge is one of my favorite spots for a night out with the girls! Like Biergarten they have a rooftop, however since it sits on the boardwalk you can get the most beautiful views of the ocean. Watermark has some of the best drinks and appetizers so it is the perfect place to start the night. I often see bachelorette parties here as well!

Number 4: Catsbury Park

Okay, if you know anything about me you'll know that I LOVE cats. I always knew this cute little cafe existed but only went for the first time recently and I loved it! Catsbury Park is an adorable little cafe where you can drink coffee and play with cats! All of the cats are adoptable which I absolutely love. Theres no better combo then coffee and cats, am I right?

Number 5: Toast

Of course I had to end my list with another restaurant (this girl loves to eat!). Toast is one of the best brunch places around. Toast offers breakfast, brunch, and lunch options and it is super cute inside! I don't know about you, but I am a big fan of breakfast so this one definitely makes the list. It does get packed though so get there early!

As you can see, Asbury has so much to offer! These are my top five places to go, but the list could go on and on! Asbury is such a unique spot right here in New Jersey. If you haven't been down this way, I definitely recommend making a day of it! Come down for breakfast at Toast, head to the beach during the day, start the night at Watermark or Biergarten, and end it with a nice dinner at Moonstruck. You really can't go wrong! I look forward to exploring this area further each time I go. If you're ever in the area, feel free to reach out. I would love to show you around!

Purple Cropped Sweater

This week Winter was definitely in full force and boy was I feeling it while shooting this look. Thank goodness this Chicwish sweater is thick and cozy!

Hat // Sweater // Pants // Shoes (Similar)

I love the rich color of this sweater and as I mentioned above, it is super cozy! I wanted to change it up from the usual jeans or a skirt and pair this cozy sweater with faux leather leggings. I think the leggings and boots give this look such an edgy vibe. Winter clothing definitely doesn't have to be boring!

I love having staple pieces like this that you can style in a variety of ways. I have had these leggings for several years and I can't even count how many different ways I have styled them! I feel like this sweater was made for them, however I have also styled this sweater with jeans and over the knee boots.  As I have said time and time again, Chicwish has some of the best sweaters. This one definitely belongs on your wishlist!

The Sweater With All Of The Details

If you're anything like me, its about that time of year where you don't feel like leaving your house because it is way too cold. I stepped outside to shoot this look and honestly almost gave up because of the temperature. I will say though, this sweater has the cutest details and is the perfect Free People dupe! See for yourself!

I do want to start by saying, I wish the material was a little softer. It is a little on the itchy side, but it may go away with a few washes. I always want to be up front with you all and thought this was important to note.

I love the details and the balloon sleeves! It does have a cropped fit so pair it with high waisted jeans or even a skirt! If you are worried about warmth with the holes, put a nude tank underneath for extra warmth and coverage. Overall it is a really cute sweater and definitely perfect for when it starts to warm up a little more towards the end of Winter.

Valentines Day Date Ideas

Along with todays outfit details, I wanted to share some easy and cute date ideas for Valentines Day! This pink sweater from Shop the Mint really got me into the spirit! Valentines Day does not have to be expensive and you don't have to go crazy trying to get a reservation.  Here are three ideas you could do at home this Valentines Day.

Idea Number One, Cook Together!

Do you have a favorite meal you like to enjoy together? Is there a new recipe you've been dying to try? Why not spend the evening making a meal together then enjoy it by candlelight! It can be fun cooking with your significant other even if you both aren't top chef material. Put some music on, pour some wine, and just have fun with it! Worse comes to worse, you can always order takeout!

Hat // Sweater // Pants // Shoes // Belt // Purse

Number Two, Date Night in a Box!

Okay so this option will take a little planning since it is a monthly subscription, but I found this company called "Date Night In Box" a while back and have been dying to try it. Each month they send you a "date in a box". The box contains everything you will need to have a date night in (you can do a month to month plan). It is the perfect way to spend time together all while mixing it up from your usual dates. Some of the boxes have recipes along with games and activities! I did want to note, this is not sponsored. I just found this and thought it was such a great idea! I think this would be a great idea for Valentines Day!

Number Three, Movie Night and Apps!

I recently set up the coziest little spot for a Valentines Day collaboration with hubby and it inspired this idea. I set up a blanket and pillows in front of our fireplace along with champagne, chocolate, and flowers. I thought it would be the perfect little spot to cozy up, watch a movie and enjoy some appetizers together (and champagne or wine). Super low key and romantic! See below for inspiration!

I hope these ideas give you some inspiration this Valentines Day! As I mentioned, Valentines day does not have to be expensive or super elaborate. It is a day to celebrate your love for one another and what you mean to each other.

If you are single this holiday, it is okay! Everyone finds their someone when the time is right. Cook yourself a nice dinner (or order your favorite takeout), watch a movie, put on a face mask and give yourself a little self-love! Celebrate the reasons why you are amazing because you deserve it!

Cozy PomPom Sweater

Another day, another pompom sweater! I love a sweater that has a little bit of detail. Who says winter fashion can't be fun?

Let me start by saying how soft this sweater is! The material is so cozy and I love the cropped fit. The fit of it makes it perfect for tucking into skirts as well! I shared a video styling this sweater on Instagram. If you want to check it out you can find it here (just swipe to see the video).

This time of year I just want to bundle up in all things soft and cozy. It is always a struggle finding the balance between staying warm and staying fashionable, this sweater is the perfect balance. Another Chicwish winner that is for sure!

I also wanted to mention that my booties are on sale for 99$! Honestly, they are one of my favorite pairs. I have them in the snakeskin and the tortilla suede and both pairs go with pretty much everything! I suggest sizing up a half a size as they do run a little small with the pointed toe.

I hope you all have the best Monday!

Chicwish Pom Pom Sweater

Happy New Year Friends!
I hope you all had an amazing holiday season! Personally, I am sad the holidays have come to an end but I am excited about what is to come in 2020. There is something about a new year that gives me the push to tackle my goals. To start the year I styled this fun sweater from one of my favorite brands. I have been working with Chicwish since the early days of my blog so I couldn't think of a better way to kick off my first blog post for the year!

Sweater // Skirt // Boots (similar) // Purse  // Hat

This sweater has been on my list for a while! It is a perfect dupe for a similar designer sweater but way more affordable. I styled it here with a skirt tucked up, however it would also look cute with a pair of jeans or even leggings and tall boots! I have said it before and I will say it again, Chicwish has some of the best sweaters! I love every single sweater I have received from them. The quality is amazing and they are all super warm and thick. I did want to note, I have the neck rolled down here, but you can also wear it up and it has a cute little ruffle. That is the beauty of a piece like this, it can be styled so many ways!

I did want to take a moment to wish you all a successful and prosperous New Year! I hope you achieve all of the goals you have set for yourself. If you aren't a New Years resolution type person, I wish you nothing but happiness and a year filled with the best memories. Cheers to 2020!
